Excellence in Business

This practical and insightful newsletter is from David McFadden, a Clinical Director and therapist here at the Village. This month's edition can be read by clicking here.

What’s New at the Village

* Renee Fischer and Jim Keper, staff therapists, presented an excellent workshop on the challenges of being a single parent. This practical presentation was well received by all who attended. If you would like to book them to come and talk to your group or church, give our office a call.

* More improvements have been made at our DeKalb office. Beautiful landscaping and a light for the parking lot are just two of the enhancements added to serve the community better. Some of you may not know about our newest office located in DeKalb, IL.  It is conveniently set on Route 23 and has four counseling rooms in a lovingly restored Victorian style house.  We opened there last fall with staff counselor Jim Thomson seeing clients on Tuesday morning and all day Wednesday.  He has been joined by staff counselors Renee Fischer, on Tuesdays, and Jim Keper, on Fridays.  The Village has come to DeKalb county!  Spread the word!

*We will be hosting breakfast and lunch meetings in DeKalb/Sycamore for area pastors on June 7th and June 21. These meetings will be an opportunity for fellowship, and to introduce Village Counseling and our DeKalb staff to local churches. Remember to call in and confirm your reservation!

* It is with sadness that we say "Good-bye" to staff therapist Angie Valente. She will be leaving to do a one-year internship as part of her training to become a psychologist. We'll miss her, but we are excited for the opportunity she'll have to complete her studies. Good luck and God bless, Angie!
