Insurance / Billing
Many of our clients have insurance providing mental health coverage.
The therapists at Village Counseling Centre are preferred providers
for a number of insurance plans in the area, and we have been very
successful in billing many of the PPO plans carried by our clients.
We are providers in a few HMO plans. If you call our office and
provide us with your insurance information [630-372-6599 –
Hanover Park, 847-488-1999 – South Elgin] or fax a copy of
the front and back of your insurance card [630-372-6697 –
Hanover Park, 847-488-9797 – South Elgin] our staff will
contact your insurance company and verify your benefits saving you
the time and hassle.
Some employers provide an EAP for their employees. EAP stands for
Employee Assistance Program. The benefits of an EAP will vary from
company to company. Typically an EAP provides for 2 – 5 (sometimes
more) counseling sessions and they usually cover the entire. If
the client needs additional sessions after using all those provided
by the EAP they will then switch to their major medical insurance
provider for benefits.
Our office staff has a thorough working knowledge of the insurance
billing process and is experienced in making contact with insurance
companies, verifying benefit plans and resolving billing questions.
Clients pay their co-pay at time of service – or make payment
arrangements with the business office. For clients who do not
have insurance, a fee rate will be worked out with your therapist.
Groups offered at Village Counseling Centre may be billed directly
to your insurance company, depending on their policy. If the group
you desire is not covered, a fee will be established. When you call
for information regarding a particular group, you will receive information
regarding the cost of that group. Check our groups
page or call the office [630-372-6599 – Hanover Park,
847-488-1999 – South Elgin] for a list of ongoing and upcoming
groups.
